Meetings with Students and Scientist

With just a few days remaining for Maharashtra state elections, all political parties are heavily engaged in the election campaign work at the moment. Since the code of conduct has been applied in Maharashtra state, certain limitations have now been implied on political leaders and their campaigns. The BJP and its leaders are also engaged in the election campaigns and public relations work within the limits of the code of conduct. Just last week, the BJP came out with its list of candidates for the election with a few major changes. The surprise package from the BJP’s side, however, was the declaration that Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil will be contesting for the election from the Kothrud-Pune constituency. Accordingly, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has started his work for the election campaign in the form of public meetings, visits, etc. He is receiving immense positive response from people of Kothrud area, which is a great driving factor in itself. 

Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has always emphasised on the importance of good educational facilities for students. During his tenure of being the Guardian Minister too, he tried to interact with students of Kolhapur district on different occasions such as college programmes, trips, etc. He strongly believes that students are the human capital and this capital is highly precious when it comes to the development of the nation. At present, for Kothrud Pune election purpose, Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil is engaged in meetings with different clubs, groups, society, institutes, etc. But in this election campaign, Mr Patil is giving a lot of priority to visits to different academic institutes and colleges in order to understand the problems of students, college faculties, and take valuable inputs and instructions from these important stakeholders of the society.

Recently, Mr Patil visited the founder of Symbiosis Institute- Mr Shantaram Balwant Mujumdar at his house. This visit has been very cordial and the two of them discussed different issues including the education sector. The Symbiosis Institute is one of the biggest brand names and a reputed educational group in Pune area.

Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil also visited Shri Khanderai Pratishthan’s Dnyansagar Institute of Management and Research, Balewadi. He has posted a photo and tweet regarding this visit on his official twitter handle. He said that he got to experience a grand welcome by all students of these institutes, seeing which he was completely overwhelmed. He was welcomed by students through traditional Maharashtrian cultural ways. Mr Patil had a brief conversation with the students of these institutes and received many inputs through this session.

Mr Chandrakant Patil also highly respects the intellectual class of the society. This thought process pushed him to visit a great scientist Mr Raghunath Mashelkar at his residence. During this visit, the duo had a great conversation on different topics and Mr Patil was blessed with Mr Mashelkar’s blessings and good wishes.

Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil’s all-inclusive approach for students and intellectual class of society is highly venerable. Shri Patil has been an active member of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad for over two decades and he deeply understands the feelings and problems associated with the student category of the society. Due to his connection with the ABVP, he has been a popular leader for college students across the State. Mr Patil also visited the great scientist Mr Raghunath Mashelkar and this visit threw light on Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil’s respect for science and technology. We hope, Shri Dada Patil would have been able to collect significant inputs through these meetings and will be able to solve the issues associated with students.
