Teacher’s Day Special 5th September 2019
Teacher’s day in India is observed every year on the 5th of
September to pay respect and honour the contributions of the teachers in our
childhood, society, and country. Teacher’s day is celebrated on the birth
anniversary of a great legend Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was highly
dedicated towards this holy profession. Dr Radhakrishnan had significant
contributions for education, teaching methodology and he is well known as the
philosopher, scholar, President of India and last but not the least a Teacher.
History
The story behind the Teacher’s day celebration is very interesting. It is said that once Dr Radhakrishnan was approached by some of his students with a request for his participation on his birthday celebration with them on the 5th of September. Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan replied that instead of celebrating his birthday only,the day can be celebrated as a teacher’s day to pay respect and honour to all the teachers for their great works and contributions and to strengthen the bond
between teachers and students.
Teacher’s Day Celebrations
Teacher’s Day is a very special moment celebrated enthusiastically in educational institutes, schools,
and colleges. This day is dedicated to honour the beloved teachers and to strengthen the chemistry of teacher-student relation. Typical celebrations of teacher’s day include demo lectures, sessions delivered by senior students in the classes. It is a well-organised activity where senior students are assigned different topics and classes and they conduct sessions accordingly. The schools, colleges are well decorated to celebrate this day. This day drives creativity, organisation, and culture in students. Many schools and colleges organise felicitation ceremony, speeches, and fun games for enjoyment. This day has marked the significance of bonding between teacher-student relations. Many collective events are organised such as dance performances, fancy dress competitions, quizzes, etc.
We wish you all a very happy teacher’s day on behalf of Honourable Revenue Minister Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil. Mr Patil is BJP Chief of Maharashtra at present and he was also elected through graduate constituency during his early career days. Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has always insisted on educational facilities, infrastructure, and hostel facilities to the students. He has been a motivating personality for tudents due to his positive approach towards students. He engages himself in many innovative activities associated with students, educational institutes. Last year, he participated in school trip organised by one of the NGO for ducation purpose. Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil always inspires students for professional skill improvements instead of the only theoretical knowledge base.
According to Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil, teachers are the nation-builders who shape the next generation of citizens. Teachers are the real holder of information, knowledge, enlightenment and they apply this to mould the lives of students. A teacher’s ole is significant after parents in shaping the minds of the younger generation with values, principles, and guidelines.
