Many Plans for The Farmer’s Families
The Revenue and Agriculture Minister of Maharashtra state-
Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil- recently attended an event to empower
women from the farmers’ families. During this function, seeds were distributed
to 412 women farmers for harvesting. During this event, Honourable Mr
Chandrakant Dada Patil revealed the plans of the BJP Government to empower
women and farmers, to help farmer families for the education process and to
assure better returns on the crops and yield.
Finolex foundation, CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation, and FICCI Flo Pune organised an event to distribute Soya and Lentil seeds to these farmer women. Other organisers for the event were Sai Mitra Parivar, Pune, Paryay Samajik Sanstha, Kalamb and Krushi Vidnyan Kendra Tuljapur. The main purpose behind organizing this event was to help the farmer widows who fall prey to such difficult situations due to their husbands’ tragic suicidal death as a result of drought condition and loans. Respectable Agriculture Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil graced the event with his presence and distributed 30 Kgs of Soya been and 1 Kg of Lentil seeds to around 412 women.
Honourable Revenue Minister- Mr Chandrakant Patil addressed the crowd by saying that we rural people are cautious about our self-respect and therefore never opt for charities and donations. Unfortunately, the drought situation and natural calamity force us to consider these options. To change this painful condition, we are ready with our water harvesting schemes and projects. We have tried to save each and every drop of water. Different water conservation projects will help to assure better conditions in the state. We are expecting more yield this year and we are committed to giving a better return on it.
Honourable Agriculture Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil further said that our traditional agriculture system should be supported with modern-day techniques. Krushi Vidnyan Kendra needs to experiment more on it, also Finolex pipes and Mukul Madhav Foundation is helping farmers. Unfortunately, a few farmers have committed suicide and the responsibility has been handed over to their wives. All these women need to apply their talent and power in order to achieve progress and the wellbeing of their family. The Government will make maximum efforts to empower these women and help these families. Their children’s education will be continued without any hurdles.
Beneficiaries of this event, Smt Dhonda Bai Ningule, thanked the organisers and said that they were
disappointed with the harvest work during this season due to the unavailability of money. But now they are somewhat relaxed as seeds have been provided by these organisers.
The event was organised at Kalamb, Usmanabad district. Other delegates present at the function were Finolex trusty Smt Ritu Prakash Chhabriya, MLA Mr SujitSingh Thakur, Finolex Vice President B.R.
