Green Building Model—Ideal Initiative Of PWD

Honourable BJP Chief Chandrakant Dada Patil is concluding his term as Public Works Minister along with Revenue department. He also effectively handled the responsibility of Guardian Minister of Kolhapur and Pune districts. Recently Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil has been appointed as BJP President, Maharashtra and he is heavily engaged in upcoming Vidhan Sabha election campaign for BJP. While handling multiple departments in the state cabinet, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil took various innovative, advanced and experimental decisions for these departments. Due to his innovations and experimentation, he will be recognised as the most innovative, creative, and productive minister of Maharashtra. 

A few days back Honourable Mr Dada Patil posted on his twitter handle about different innovations employed by the Revenue department including, digitisation of services, digitisation of 7/12 extract, digital signature, use of drone cameras for land map ping, etc. He also availed 16 services in an online format and this decision added to the convenience and comfort of the people for the services from the revenue department. 

When it comes to the Public Works Department, different innovative initiatives of the state Public Works Department truly marks his out of the box thinking, productivity, and creativity. Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil has a plan to develop complexes and government buildings that will provide rain-water harvesting, waste management within that complex itself. Accordingly, 201 buildings construction work have been fulfilled and new 165 buildings construction is in progress. His Government building campus also emphasises on minimum utilisation of electricity for power saving purpose.Additionally, these campuses and buildings must be comfortable for disabled special citizens and necessary facilities such as a ramp, lifts must be provided to them. 129 work initiatives have been taken for this purpose. 

Being Public Works Department Minister Mr Patil has also focused on the use of e-vehicles instead of traditional petrol and diesel vehicles. Use of e-vehicles will save the consumption of petrol and diesel and also it will be an eco-friendly, pollution-free way of transport. He plans to connect government buildings, campuses through e-vehicle transport system instead of normal vehicles. In line with this plan, 5 e-Vehicles have already been purchased by the department and these will be utilised for better connectivity in government campuses. 

Public Works Department Minister of Maharashtra, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil initiated green building concept for government buildings and campuses. These types of efforts are highly appreciable and can figure out in a great eco-friendly framework. Green building model also promotes different eco-friendly initiatives such as solar lights and other equipment, waste management, rainwater harvesting, power-saving structure, etc. 

Revenue Minister Shri Chandrakant Patil’s green building concept implementation is in progress. Once all government buildings and campuses get well equipped with these facilities it will be a grand success to his green building phenomena. Green building model for government campus will be a well admired, role model for all other sectors too since it promotes environment-friendly initiatives.
