The Honourable Cabinet Miniter- Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil has
been assigned with the new responsibility by Honourable Chief Minister- Mr
Devendra Fadnavis and that is- to become the Guardian Minister of Pune
district. Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has been handling Revenue,
Agriculture, and PWD departments in the state cabinet efficiently and also
working as the Guardian Minister for Kolhapur and Jalgaon districts. But after
the Lok Sabha election results, few changes have been observed in the state
politics and Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has been assigned the
responsibility of Pune district as its Guardian Minister to replace Mr Girish
Bapat who has been elected as the Member of Parliament for Pune district. Also,
the new Guardian Minister for Jalgaon district will be Medical Education
Minister- Mr Girish Mahajan.
Honourable Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil’s appointment as the new Guardian Minister of Pune district has gone down to become more contextual and relevant with regards to the upcoming assembly election. During the Lok Sabha elections, Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil was assigned with the responsibility of western Maharashtra zone consisting of a total of 5 constituencies. In this campaign, he worked hard as well as efficiently and secured 4 constituencies out of those. His efforts for securing Baramati constituency were also admired and it created a threat to the dominance and monopoly of the Pawar family in Western Maharashtra belt. In this situation, it can be predicted that the appointment of Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil as the new Guardian Minister of Pune district has had a potential significance and context with reference to the upcoming assembly election. Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has a good hold on the western belt of Maharashtra and he can work in the very same way for the Assembly election too.
Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has taken control of Pune district on the 8th June as the new Guardian Minister of the district. The BJP activists in Pune zone are very happy due to this decision. It is expected that the appointment of Honourable Patil as the Guardian Minister of Pune district will help for a number of projects in the district, including irrigation system, river and riverfront development, metro project, public transport system, and PMRDA projects, etc.
It will be an excellent opportunity for the Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil to get connected with the people of Pune and their problems directly. Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil was elected as MLA through Pune Graduation constituency during his initial BJP days. Being the Guardian Minister of Pune district, he will gain scope for the development of Pune region and different issues related to it.
Honourable Chief Minister, Mr Devendra Fadanvis has planned a systematic strategy for the upcoming Assembly election. This decision of appointing Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil as Pune Districts’ Guardian Minister will help Honourable Chief Minister for the further plannings of the Assembly elections. It will also act as an acknowledgement to Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil regarding his Lok Sabha election campaign work. His responsibility in the Assembly election can increase in the future and so will his honour. It is also a warning signal for the NCP and Congress in Pune district again for the assembly election.
