Dental Cleanup and Braces Treatment to Poor Girls
The Guardian Minister of Kolhapur district- Honourable Mr
Chandrakant Dada Patil- has been engaged in innovative activities and
initiatives at Kolhapur district for a long time now. Recently, he informed
that the dental cleaning facility and other dental advanced treatments such as braces
have now been made available to girls staying in slums and girls belonging to
the financially weaker sections of the society in Kolhapur.
The Honourable Revenue Minister of the state who also happens to be the Guardian Minister of Kolhapur district informed that each year during the Ganesh festival, different initiatives are undertaken and this year, the programme undertaken is to offer free dental cleaning facility and braces treatment to poor girls in order to treat their dental faults. Around 18 girls have benefited with the dental braces treatment and 31 medical centres have registered for this event.
Honourable Minister Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil had a detailed conversation with these girls and their parents at the Ayodhya Hotel in Kolhapur. Mrs Anjali Patil also graced the occasion with her presence and the two of them enjoyed lunch with these girls. During the press conference, Revenue Minister Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil said that they will try their best to improve dental hygiene of the poor girls. He also thanked Siddhagiri Hospital and Research Centre for their responsiveness and the work for dental treatments of these girls. He further said that it is necessary to clean up teeth regularly in order to improve the longevity of their teeth and ensure dental hygiene. Due to poor financial conditions, people are not able to take care of their teeth and suffer from many dental problems in turn.
The new initiative has been undertaken and the dental cleaning programme has been started for poor girls. He also said that the parents of these poor girls can contact their office at Kavala Naka for dental cleaning registration purpose.
Honourable Guardian Minister, Mr Chandrakant Patil further informed that for this innovative programme, a team of 10 dentists is continuously working. During this programme, the beneficiary girls also thanked the Guardian Minister. Three girls namely- Ms Shravani Yadav, Ms Amruta Patil,
and Ms Rudrahansa Banedar thanked Dada Patil during the event. The girls said that the braces treatment is one of the major turning points in their lives and it could only be possible because of this innovative initiative, otherwise due to their financial condition, it won't have been possible for them. The girls thanked Honourable Mr Chandrakant Patil and Mrs Anjali Patil during this event. Other attendees for the event were Mrs Anjali Patil, Dr Praveen Naik, Siddhagiri Hospital and Research Centre, dentist Dr Deepti Bhirdi, Mr Balasaheb Yadav, Vidya Prabodhini President, Mr Rahul Chikkode, Mr Neetin Patil, Mr Akshay Shinde and the beneficiary girls as well as their parents.
This is an extremely innovative initiative undertaken by the Guardian Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada
Patil and it showcases his care and responsiveness for poor children. It will also increase positivity towards dental hygiene. Otherwise, a dental braces treatment is on the expensive side. Hence, it wouldn't have been possible for families belonging to the 'Below party line' category to opt for it. Due to the initiatives started by Honourable Revenue minister, Mr Chandrakant Patil, poor girls can now undergo this expensive treatment and improve their appearance which will help in boosting their confidence level greatly. Honourable Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil is always admired for his initiatives and programmes. This programme clearly indicates his unique thinking for the betterment of society with reference to the hygiene and beauty perspective. We convey our best wishes to him for this programme.
