Appreciation of Flood Relief Measures Undertaken by Social Organizations
Kolhapur and Sangli districts are
badly affected due to the floods this year. The situation was very tough in the
two districts due to the losses of families, houses, farms, appliances, etc.
The State Government has requested the Central Government to provide Rs 6800
Crore monetary help for relief measures in flood-hit areas. Also, the State
Government has provided other adequate relief measures to combat the situation
and to facilitate the people to normalise the conditions. BJP Chief for
Maharashtra, Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil played a key role in flood
relief activities in Kolhapur and Sangli districts. Being Rehabilitation
Minister of Maharashtra and Guardian Minister of Kolhapur district too, he
tried to provide maximum benefits and relief measures in flood-affected
areas.
Honourable Revenue Minister, Mr
Chandrakant Dada Patil used his twitter handle to convey appropriate messages,
helpline numbers, and other information about the flood conditions and relief
measures. Also, he appealed to different stakeholders of the society such as
corporate companies, social organisations, and temple trusts to increase their
participation in help operations and relief measures towards flood-affected
areas. Mr Patil had also posted about the positive responses to his appeal by
different organisations and their help initiatives undertaken for
flood-affected areas.
Guardian Minister of Kolhapur
district, Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil has posted one video on Twitter to thank
Ganesh statue makers in Mumbai-Parel area. They have decided to provide Ganesh
statue and Pooja material free of cost to flood-affected people. Mr Patil has
specially thanked statue artists for their innovative initiative undertaken to
help flood-affected people.
Mr Patil has also posted regarding
monetary help provided by different bodies, trusts, corporate companies and
social organisations for relief measures through his social media handles. He
has also thanked Maharashtra Sheli, Mendhi Vikas Mahamandal for their
valuable help of Rs 10 Lakhs to flood relief fund.
Mr Patil has also revealed the
contribution of Wai Urban Bank with their help of Rs 25 Lakhs to flood relief
fund. He has also appreciated Shree Ranjangaon Temple Trust for their valuable
support of Rs 2.50 Lakhs towards flood relief funds.
Shree Chandrakant Dada Patil has
notified about various State Government immediate initiatives undertaken to
normalise the condition and undertake rehabilitation measures in the flood-hit
areas. The State Government has provided loan waiver to the farmers for the
1-hectare area. Also, the Government has decided to provide food grains, rice
and wheat free of cost for the next 3 months. Furthermore, the State Government
will also provide 5 brass sand and stones for home construction and repair
purpose. Another important decision taken by the State Government is to waive
light bills for agricultural motor pumps. The Government is also committed to
providing monetary help for cattle shelters. Additionally, people with small
businesses will get the help of up to Rs 50000. The State Government officials
will meet Central Finance Minister for GST concessions to flood-affected
businesses. Apart from all this, the State Government has offered temporary
shelters, health facilities and monetary help to flood-affected people.
Being Guardian Minister of Kolhapur
district, Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil has played a vital role in various
rehabilitation and relief measures in the flood-hit areas. Mr Patil has also
promoted other stakeholders of the society to contribute to flood-affected
districts and fortunately, he received an encouraging response from many social
bodies. Mr Patil has wholeheartedly appreciated the positive response shown by
different stakeholders of the society towards the flood relief programmes. The
State Government’s stand is highly promising in this tough situation.
Hopefully, the State Government will get massive monetary help from the Central
Government which can largely help in normalizing the situation in the two
