in Lakshyavedhi regarding the provision of legal and own houses to the
government employees staying in Bandra (East) colony, while answering this
query, Mr Patil informed that the State Government will be positive towards
availing own houses to the Government employees who have been the residents of
Bandra Government colony. There will be an establishment of a separate
committee to pursue further analysis and study regarding this proposal. The
committee will be responsible to present a report of different factors such as
the cost of the houses, the location of the houses, etc. The committee will
include Advocate Anil Parab, Mr Bhai Girkar, Mr Kiran Pawaskar, Smt Vidya Chavan,

Bandra Government Colony was
established in 1959 and its construction continued till 1975. It is comprised
of 96 acres of land and it has 4782 flats in total. This colony is 50 to
60 years old and thus, facing many severe drawbacks and problems. The colony
has some major problems, including wall cracks and rusting of the iron
rods. Actually, 5 buildings in the colony are declared risky to stay and
its repair expenses are unaffordable, therefore, 452 flat owners are shifted in
alternate building on a temporary basis. In this situation, it is necessary to
address the issue of the government employees who have been residents of
the Bandra Government Colony. Advocate Anil Parab raised the request to
avail permanent houses to the Government employees. The Public Works Department
Minister, Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil reacted positively on it and
replied that the government is positively working towards providing
comfortable, modern houses to the government employees and to accomplish the
redevelopment of the Bandra Government Colony.
Other members present during the
discussion were Mr Kiran Pawaskar, Mr Vinayak Mete, Mr Bhai Girkar, and
Smt Vidhya Chavan, etc.
Revenue Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada
Patil has shown an optimistic approach towards the redevelopment of Bandra
Government Colony. His decision to appoint a separate committee to study the
proposal and further analysis demonstrate his systematic and intellectual
approach towards his work. Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil is handling multiple
departments in the state productively and his attitude to accomplish maximum
work and projects is highly promising and appreciable. He has also presented
his respect, care, and gratitude for the government employees by addressing
their issues instantaneously. The redevelopment of the Bandra Colony will be
beneficial for the government employees to a great extent.
